Art Day and Science Day Program Bundle (ages 6-18)
WHO: This bundle is for students who want to enroll in all Art Day and Science Day Classes. This includes Art AM, Art PM, Science AM, and Science PM. Students Ages 6-18, Students will be divided into Upper and Lower Forms. WHAT: Four sessions per term, including all day Art Day and all day Science Day WHERE: Loft & Field Farm WHEN: Fridays 9:00am-3:00pm, see calendar COST: $199/term or $575/trimester MATERIALS FEE: $4 for NEW earth science lab notebooks and $13 for hardcover nature journal, and $11 for spiral-bound art sketchbook (or previous students can continue using their sketchbooks or nature journals from previous years), bring cash or check to purchase at Check-In desk. HOW PAYMENT WORKS: Payments for classes will be charged IMMEDIATELY, before classes begin and will automatically continue as you choose below. Cancel any time. No refunds. Seeds and Nature Adventures Wednesday Bundle (ages 3-5)
WHO: Students Ages 3-5, This bundle is for students who want to enroll in both the Seeds class and the Nature Adventures class. WHAT: Four sessions per term, includes Seeds Day and Nature Adventures WHERE: Loft & Field Farm WHEN: Wednesday 9:30am-11:30am, see calendar COST: $72/term or $209/trimester MATERIALS FEE: $13 for hardcover nature journal and $11 for spiral-bound art sketchbook (or previous students can continue using their sketchbooks or nature journals from previous years), bring cash or check to purchase at Check-In desk. Loft & Field Membership Only
Note: If you sign up for any local Loft & Field classes, you will automatically be given a membership and receive all of the included benefits. If your family wants to enjoy membership without taking any local classes, you can puchase the membership only. Memberships last from the date of purchase to the end of the school year, June 12, 2027.
Nature Adventures (whole family)
WHO: Nature Adventures are for the whole family! Parent or guardian must attend, unless special permission is granted ahead of time. We recommend it for ALL families because nature study is science and the benefits to spending time outdoors are immense. We especially recommend this class for those enrolled on Science AM (acts as a lab for Minnesota Wildlife), Art AM (fulfills additional practice in watercolor), and Seeds (hands-on nature study) WHAT: Two nature walks, safety & survival, and observations & nature journaling sessions per term WHERE: Various Nature Parks, most within 20 minutes of Loft & Field. You will be notified of our location with driving directions via email before each term (note that we sometimes have to change locations because of weather conditions). WHEN: Every other Wednesday 9:30am-11:30am, see calendar COST: $30/term or $90/trimester, whole family cost MATERIALS FEE: $13 for nature journal (or previous students can continue using their nature journals from previous years), bring cash or check to purchase at Check-In desk. Seeds AM Program (ages 3-5)
WHO: Students Ages 3-5, Students will be divided for some classes WHAT: Two sessions per term of Handicrafts, Movement & Safety, Animal Friends / Nature Study / Science, Literacy, Fine Arts: Music, Performing & Visual Art and Habits. There is also an optional parent support group that studies The Early Years and Charlotte Mason Education. WHERE: Loft & Field Farm WHEN: Every other Wednesday 9:30am-11:30am, see calendar COST: $45/term or $135/trimester MATERIALS FEE: $11 for spiral-bound art sketchbooks (or previous students can continue using their sketchbooks from last year), bring cash or check to purchase at Check-In desk. New Family Day Open House RSVP
Do you have friends interested in attending Loft & Field? Are you adding different classes or having younger students join and have questions? The best place to get to know us and our program is our Open House. New families or younger students moving up will meet some of our teachers and learn about our classes & curriculum. Learn why we love Charlotte Mason education and watch a lesson demonstration. Go on a tour of the farm, Living Books Library, and classrooms. Learn about some of the unique ways we encourage growth and joy in our students. Dress for the weather – when we can be outside, we are outside! Bring a picnic lunch and stay to socialize. The Living Books Library will be open from 12:00pm-3:30pm for early borrowing privileges. WHO: Homeschool families interested in attending Loft & Field local classes. There will be demos for parents and children to get a sense of what our school is like. Please join us for A Living Plan for the Early Years: Parent Workshop. Our goal is that you will leave this workshop with a clear view of your upcoming homeschool year. There will be short-term and long-term planning advice, time for hands-on work for your homeschool plan, and Q&A time for your particular concerns. We will have planning handouts, assist with book & curriculum selection, and share how Loft & Field can support you this year. This date and time will specialize in PreK-1st grade and younger age brand-new-to-homeschool planning but is not closed to others if this time slot is best for your family. All homeschool styles and methods welcome. Questions that exceed the time period can arrange private consults at another time. WHO: Parents of homeschoolers; one or both parents/caregivers welcome. If childcare is needed, add a note after check-out and bring an additional cash donation for babysitters.
