Parent Support
Our goal is to help you as parents have confidence for educating your children using Charlotte Mason’s philosophies. In the local programs we teach, we consider our teachers to simply be assisting you, the parent. You are the authority in your children’s lives and as you are an integral part of your child’s growth, we want to support you. Our support group meetings are FREE to all current Loft & Field members.
Early Years Preschool Support Group
Parents of Seeds students are invited to join our book study during Wednesday Seeds class. We will meet for about 30 minutes after morning annoucements. It is useful for kids getting used to their class to see their parent go to “their class” — while still in the same room, in close proximity. We will discuss Charlotte Mason method, homeschooling, troubleshooting, and general support. As long as there are at least 2-3 parents who will commit to reading, we will choose between “The Early Years: A Charlotte Mason Preschool Handook” by Karen Smith & Sonya Shafer OR “For the Children‘s Sake: Foundation of Education for Home and School” by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay.
Mothers Teatime
We are excited to invite mothers to our seasonal teas. We will host 3 child-free Mother’s Teatime events where we’ll share a light meal, homeschool devotional, Charlotte Mason topics, and discussion about how our year is going. These will be Sunday afternoons and dates and times can be found on the calendar.
